Pacific Rim Street Fest

In 1993, the first Pacific Rim Street Fest was presented in Old Sacramento by the restauranteur, Frank Fat, and community groups. With his ever optimistic spirit, he was able to create a coalition of community leaders and succeed in seeing his dream of a street festival come to pass.
For fifteen years the festival has displayed the richness and diversity of many Pacific Rim cultures through cultural programs, entertainment, art and food. The event also enhances the community's knowledge of Asian/Pacific Island cultures in a fun and positive environment. This year's street fest is scheduled for May 20th, 2007 from 10am to 5pm in Old Sacramento. For more information go to www.PacificRimStreetFest.com
Tune to LiveWire, Wednesday May 9th, and find out all the details of this years fest. Our guests will be Marilyn Steele and Chris Iwata.

This miniature book was created as an exclusive keepsake for the Sacramento Book Collectors Club 65th anniversary meeting on February 13, 2004. Joe D'Ambrosio designed and produced the book whick contains a reproductin of On the Sacramento River, which includes the George Greene Ivy Banks house, by well known painter, Gregory Kondos. The original painting is displayed at the Braille and Talking Book Library at the California State Library. Individuals who attended the dinner received one of the miniature books.
